About the Book

Patrick’s story begins as that of a typical baby boy, but at around two years old, a traumatic brain injury changed the course of his life. Over the next 36 years, Patrick navigated invisible disabilities, self-identity struggles, medical challenges, education plans, and the search for his place in the world—one layer at a time. At the end of each chapter, readers will find “Little Red Toolboxes” filled with resources, strategies, and insights to inspire hope, courage, and success.
