The Unexpected Turn That Changes Our Entire Lives Forever

I never thought that when I was having children that one of them would face living his life with the title “Traumatic Brain Injury.

With “TBI” we would go in a different direction with so many different rules and guidelines that were times not always easy to move forward with.

The day I decided to care for and assist in raising my son that would forever carry this TBI title was a monumental moment.

I learned that being in the life of my son, who would create a new world for himself and create a new world for all those who would be in his life. With the blessing of the Lord’s light surrounding us each step of the way we were successful in turning from anger and pity to love and acceptance.

My starting point was rewinding the clock to the moment when we first started to discover Patrick would produce lot of new challenges beyond what you read in all the parenting books. Patrick would enter our lives with a new game plan.

My new mantra words would become: God Watch Over Us-Love-Hope-Faith-Mercy-Patience-Perseverance-God’s Blessings-Strength-Keep Moving Forward-Keep Fighting-Keep Changing-Keep Learning.
